Posted on February 12, 2013 by HAJA KAKAY Now that we’re deep into the harshest, coldest months of winter, it’s more important than ever that New Yorkers do all they can to help those surviving rough on the streets of our city. It’s truly heartening to see law firms like Patterson Belknap step up and show how much they care. Not only are they sending volunteers to help distribute hot, nutritious meals to the homeless and hungry through the Coalition’s Grand Central Food Program, but they have become our newest GCFP sponsor, covering the full cost of one of our vans for the month of February. Patterson Belknap’s generous sponsorship allows us to deliver 10,000 meals to our most vulnerable neighbors this month. Now in their fifth year of support for of the Coalition, the firm welcomed this new opportunity, stating: “Patterson Belknap is proud to be a corporate sponsor of the Grand Central Food Program. Through its programs, the Coalition for the Homeless provides much needed services to our community.
