New York City First Lady Chirlane McCray makes push towards ending homelessness

In one of her busiest days since Mayor de Blasio took office, First Lady Chirlane McCray pledged Thursday to use her “influence” to help those living on the streets. McCray told the Coalition for the Homeless annual luncheon that the city’s homeless population — a staggering 52,000 people — was “not acceptable.”
