Clergy Push Mayor Bill de Blasio, Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Housing Plan for Homeless

A group of more than 250 clergy are calling on Gov. Cuomo and Mayor de Blasio to come together on a new deal to provide more supportive housing to address the city’s growing homeless problem.

In a letter sent to both men, the faith leaders noted de Blasio’s recent announcement that the city would invest $2.6 billion over 15 years to create 15,000 units of supportive housing.
