Posted on January 22, 2013 by GISELLE ROUTHIER The temperature is not expected to go above the mid-20’s this week and will be in the low teens at night. Here is some important information on staying warm and helping homeless neighbors: 1.) First and foremost, seek shelter from the elements. If someone you know is sleeping on the streets, please encourage them to enter shelter or call 311. Intake centers for single adults and families can be found here. 2.) During cold weather, citywide drop-in centers are open 24 hours. Locate drop-in centers here. 3.) Daytime warming centers are still operaing throughout the City in response to Hurricane Sandy.
